  • Wim Hof – Mind Over Matter With the Iceman

Posted on October 3rd, 2011 admin No comments

Wim seems like an average guy. He has no missing limbs or senses, but he has made an interesting discovery about the power of his mind. Wim controls his internal thermostat with his mind, producing heat at will and withstanding freezing temperatures in a way that is medically impossible.

Wim’s story should motivate us all and give us reason to ask, Why Not? Just because the facts and the proof state that something is impossible or unrealistic, does that make it so?

Imagine a person with no eyes who lives his life to the fullest as if he can see. That person is Ben Underwood. At 3 years old, he lost his eyes to cancer; but his mother repeatedly reminded him of the abilities that he had left. Ben took his mother’s positive outlook to a new level. “I don’t consider myself blind,” he boasts.

Ben taught himself to see with sound by using echolocation. Bike riding, skating, book writing, basketball, video games, school, surfing, running up and down the stairs—he does it all. And Ben does not use a guide dog or a cane.

The ant philosophy is one of persistence and determination. There is no event that will stop the ant. It will keep going until it dies. Ants – they never quit! Try and stop them, and they will look for another way. They will climb up, clumb under, climb around. They never quit looking for a way. If they are headed somewhere, they will get there. Never quit looking for where you are supposed to go.
